MANDARIN DEBATE UNIT
Mandarin Debate Unit is a club that gathers students that are enthusiastic in debating in Chinese language. The club organises debate classes on a weekly basis to improve the debating skill of its members and occasionally joins various Chinese debate competitions to showcase and sharpen the members’ debating skills.
PERSATUAN ASKAR WATANIAH UTP
Since 2014, Persatuan Askar Wataniah UTP (PESAWAT) is the only uniformed body in UTP that aspires to develop discipline and soft skills of students by guiding recruits into partaking voluntarily in the reserves army service. Under the supervision of Rejimen 503 Askar Wataniah, Ipoh, recruits receive allowance based on service time monthly.
PEER HELPER
UTP Peer Helper Club is one of the well-known clubs that developed under the Counselling Unit of UTP to assist students in their journey throughout the years of studies in University. We help in developing their social skills that focus on leadership, confidence, and teamwork.
UTP ENGLISH DEBATE
The UTP English Debate Club is a student club in UTP that has been actively running since its inception in 2014 and it aims to equip students with the skills and the passion for debating so that they are able to think critically and analyse issues that can be beneficial for their futures.
UTP MALAY DEBATE
Malay Debate Club aims to help students to improve their communication skills through public speaking. It also aims to improve student’s general knowledge on current issues worldwide from every aspect either politics, economy, education, and socials.
UTP PETROBOTS
UTP Robotics Society (PETROBOTS) is a well-established robotics society in UTP and has been active until these days and has gradually evolved to serve as a platform for robotics advancement. We strive to introduce a maker culture within the UTP community, or as the layman term goes – “an urge to create”.
UTP GO GREEN MOVEMENT
Go Green Movement as the name implies, focused on the awareness of Green Movement. As we only have one earth to live, we need to take care of the earth. We aim to encourage every UTPian to start green movement such as stop using plastic straw and plastic bag in their daily life.
UTP ROTARACT
The nature of our clubs’s activities are geared towards reaching out to the community, developing one’s self and promoting international understanding between ourselves as well as the community.

Toastmasters International is a nonprofit educational organisation that teaches public speaking and leadership skills through a worldwide network of clubs. Headquartered in Englewood, Colo., the organization's membership exceeds 364,000 in more than 16,200 clubs in 145 countries. Since 1924, Toastmasters International has helped people from diverse backgrounds become more confident speakers, communicators, and leaders.
